The Kansas City Comets added another to the win column with a convincing 9-2 win over Danny Waltman and the Tacoma Stars.
The Comets were forced to give goalkeeper Lou Misner his professional debut after Mark Saxby was a late scratch from the starting lineup. John Sosa and Matt Lewis, however, did return after missing time last weekend in Texas.
Tacoma opened the scoring with the only goal in the first quarter after Nick Perera’s long run assisted Eddie Na’s second goal of the season. The Comets really got rolling in the second period, when they scored four unanswered goals from Leo Gibson, Ray Lee, Ray Lee again, and Robert Palmer to give the Comets the 4-1 advantage at halftime.
