The Kansas City Comets stormed past the Florida Tropics on Sunday with a 7-2 victory, the first home win this season for the Comets.
The game was won in the first half due to the tired legs of Florida, coming from a loss in St. Louis just the night before, and the Comets hopping out to an early commanding lead.
The Comets caught the Florida Tropics at the perfect time as they have a depleted squad and have not played well over the past couple of matches.
Florida came into the match with clear intent to have a low scoring affair and hopefully get a couple of goals early and sit in and soak up as much pressure as it takes to win the game.
