Finding themselves at the bottom of the league table, Club America host their first game of the season at the Estadio Azteca against Veracruz on Saturday. After losing to Tigres in a rematch of last semester’s final, las Aguilas have allowed six goals in their first two games of the Clausura.
Against Tigres, Club America fell behind almost just two minutes in, with Ismael Sosa sneaking the ball past Agustin Marchesin. Club America eventually found themselves leveled at 2-2 but couldn’t produce a serious offensive drive afterwards. Tigres then took advantage of Club America’s stalled offense and scored goals in the 55th and 83rd minute to see off las Aguilas.
