Jaguares de Chiapas earned their third victory of the season in style, scoring twice in the second half to beat Club America 2-0 on Tuesday in their pending Liga MX game.
Chiapas’ recent record showed wins against Toluca and Tigres, but las Aguilas might have expected an easier evening, given their opponent is one of few teams fighting to steer away relegation.
After a scoreless first half, Jonathan Fabbro opened the scoring when he picked out Agustin Marchesin’s bottom right corner to fire Chiapas into the lead.
The lead was well deserved, too, as Chiapas were matching their opponent in every department on the field.
