Club América handed Santos their third straight loss of the season with a 4-1 result Saturday night. When ‘Aleco’ Irarragorri took over Santos fans thought this change would bring about a positive change on the field for the club but that has yet to happen as the Guerreros continue their bad form from last season. Meanwhile the Aguilas started their first two games with a team mostly made of U23 players and now the first team starters have returned without missing a step.
The first few minutes were all Santos as they had control of the ball. They even had their first dangerous play within a few minutes that ended as a corner.
