Club America celebrate anniversary by losing 2-1 to Queretaro

Club America played a friendly to commemorate their anniversary but lost to Queretaro 2-1. With goals by Brazilian Augusto Dos Santos and Everaldo Stum, Queretaro was able to hold on after Christian Insaurralde scored to put las Águilas within one. The game was played in Matamoros, in a stadium that wasn’t barely half full.

The best news for America was the return of Diego Lainez after being injured by a clash in practice between him and Bruno Valdez. Lainez missed key games like the Clasico Nacional against Chivas but looked back in form, being the best player in the game for America.
