Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo got the goals as Real Madrid edged out Club America 2-0 to secure a spot in the Club World Cup final.
Zinedine Zidane named a strong side against the CONCACAF Champions League winners, but saw his UEFA Champions League holders muster just one goal.
That effort arrived on the stroke of half-time, with Benzema clipping home a classy effort.
He was cleverly picked out in the box by the vision of Toni Kroos and made no mistake with a clipped finish off the outside of his right boot.
