Clément Lenglet will be a Barcelona player starting July 1st, according to Albert Rogé from Diario SPORT. Barcelona will pay 35 million euro to Sevilla to make Lenglet the Catalans’ first signing this summer.
The deal is said to be “amicable” between the two clubs. Lenglet is supposed to sign for five seasons.
The French defender’s capture would put the futures of Thomas Vermaelen and Yerry Mina in doubt. He is a left-footed defender known for his ability with the ball at his feet. He has gone through a breakthrough season with Sevilla, catching the eye of many as they eliminated Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.
