Claudio Marchisio, Juventus Agree on New Contract: Latest Details, Reaction

Claudio Marchisio and Juventus agreed on a five-year contract extension Monday that will keep the talented midfielder at the world power for the remainder of his prime.

Team president Andrea Agnelli announced the agreement, which had been long rumored. Marchisio has been with Juventus dating back to his youth career, leaving only for a short loan to Empoli during the 2007-08 campaign. He has made 309 appearances for the club overall.

"It's a feeling that sits alongside my first training session in 1993," Marchisio said, per Goal.com.
