And so, five months after losing to Queretaro in the 2016 Apertura Copa MX Final, Chivas are back in another final. This time, the Rebaño Sagrado play host to Monarcas Morelia at the Estadio Chivas.
Matias Almeyda’s men have been a constant in this competition. Chivas last won the trophy in 2015 against Club Leon, and this marks the fourth final for Chivas in the last five editions of the tournament.
For this final, it is expected that Almeyda fields a nice mix of starters and reserves, as they take on a Monarcas Morelia side that arrive as something of a surprise team.
