Chivas Guadalajara won their first league title in more than 10 years by beating Tigres 2-0 in the second leg of the 2017 Liga MX Clausura Final.
After an exciting 2-2 draw in the first leg, it was winner take all at the Estadio Chivas, with Tigres looking to win their 12th league title and Tigres in search of their sixth.
As the game settled, Chivas grabbed their chance in the 17th minute when a floating pass from Oswaldo Alanis provided Alan Pulido with a superb volley to fire the hosts into the lead.
Pulido’s goal provided a shock for Tigres, who also went down in similar circumstances in first leg, and in the second half, the felinos pushed in search of the equalizer.
