On Sunday, the Estadio Chivas in Jalisco will play host to the 220th edition of the Clasico Nacional between Chivas and Club America. It really doesn't get any bigger than this, with Mexico's two most traditional teams going at it in a rivalry that crosses borders and extends generations.
Chivas sit 14th in the Liga MX table, six points off a playoff position. However, Clasico Nacional glory would give their fans some sort of success in the league, and while all games against Club America are must-wins, the team will also be conscious that a win would be an important step to take if they plan on making a second-half surge for the playoffs.
