Atlas got a surprising result when they defeated Chivas by a 3-2 score to win the Clasico Tapatio. Atlas took a commanding 3-0 lead but had to hold on when Chivas tried to comeback before falling short of getting the tie. Chivas closed out a terrible week with a disappointing loss that might end up with them needing a new coach after they return from the FIFA break to face Pachuca away while Atlas will host Mazatlan.
The 1st half started with Chivas coming out with Victor Guzman instead of Ricardo Marin up top. After Chivas lost a ball, Atlas had a good chance Raymundo Fulgencio found Eduardo Aguirre in the area but his left footed shot would go wide.
