Chivas and Toronto reach CONCACAF Champions League Final

Chivas defended heroically in a goalless stalemate at Red Bull Arena to beat New York Red Bulls 1-0 on aggregate and reach the CONCACAF Champions League Final. Meanwhile, a late Mateus Uribe penalty saved Club America from defeat but las Águilas fell 4-2 on aggregate to Toronto FC in the other Semifinal.

Chivas, who had collected a 1-0 win in the first leg, faced a daunting task from the very first minute. New York Red Bulls put their visitors under pressure early on, and Chivas goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota was forced to make numerous saves.

In the second half, Chivas were again content to let the home side have the ball, but save for a few chances, the Rebaño was able to hold on to progress to the final.
