Chelsea are clearly in the market for a new left-back following Filipe Luis' return to Atletico Madrid after just one season at Stamford Bridge.
There are seemingly two front-runners to fill the backup role behind Cesar Azpilicueta on the left of Jose Mourinho's defence, but it is unclear as to who the Blues will eventually sign, with the latest reports suggesting either deal could be close.
John Cross in the Mirror claims Chelsea are now "closing in" on the £20 million signing of Augsburg's Abdul Baba Rahman, citing German reports relayed by Sky Germany's Jan Aage Fjortoft:

Mourinho was previously coy on the matter but did suggest Baba Rahman was a potential target, per Cross: "He is Augsburg player so I don’t speak.
