Chelsea skipper John Terry is playing “poker” in the press in an attempt to land himself a new contract with the club, according to former Blues assistant manager Steve Clarke.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Clarke commented on Terry’s recent claims that he will not be signing an extension with the Blues and is hopeful another year can be agreed before the captain walks away when his deal expires at the end of the season:
It’s a strange one. I think John is playing a little game of poker with the club.
