Chelsea’s hopes of building a new stadium have taken a step forward, as the club submitted planning application on Tuesday for a new venue to be constructed at Stamford Bridge.
Sky Sports News HQ confirmed the announcement, with the Blues hoping to build a new home, which will hold 60,000 spectators. As reported by Charles Sale of the Daily Mail, the champions are seeking to rebuild a new stadium on the same site of their current home, over the course of three years.
