Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has assured fans that owner Roman Abramovich remains 'committed' to the Stamford Bridge club, despite visa complications that saw the Russian billionaire leave the United Kingdom in May of last year.
Having withdrawn his application to renew his UK visa, Abramovich has since made his home in Israel after being granted citizenship there. The 52-year-old has previously invested in Israel and it was reported last year that he would be exempt from paying tax for the first 10 years.
Despite now being based overseas, Buck insists that Abramovich is no less involved in Chelsea's business and is still in daily contract with club officials and staff.
