Brazilian club Chapecoense have been named 2016 Copa Sudamericana champions by CONMEBOL after losing 19 of their players in a plane crash as they travelled to the tournament's final last week.

Per Callum Davis in the Telegraph, Colombian outfit Atletico Nacional, who were set to play Chapecoense in the first leg of the final the day after the crash, asked that the Brazilian club be named honorary champions.
