Champions League Results 2016: Group Tables After Wednesday's Final Scores

Atletico Madrid’s brilliant form in the UEFA Champions League continued on Wednesday, as they battled to a 1-0 win over fellow tournament contenders Bayern Munich.

In a surprisingly open first period, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco pinged in a brilliant finish off the post to give last season's runners-up a lead at the break. Bayern pushed for an equaliser in the second period, although it was the hosts who had the best chance to score, with Antoine Griezmann rattling the crossbar with a penalty.

Elsewhere on a thrilling night of matches, Celtic and Manchester City played out a remarkable 3-3 draw, while Barcelona came from a goal down to beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1.
