The Mexican forward scored from a free kick for the first time in his five seasons in La Liga.
Mexican forward Carlos Vela made a dramatic exit Friday, scoring from a free kick outside the box, celebrating and being substituted off the pitch the next minute.
Vela's dead ball capped a 3-0 win over Levante for David Moyes' men, who move to the 11th spot in La Liga and stay in outside contention for a Europa League position.
The 26-year-old took the free kick just above the 'D' formed at the top of the box and struck with his left foot, getting the ball over the Levante wall and sending goalkeeper Diego Marino diving in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the attempt.
