Carles Pérez is still trying to figure out why he was sold by Barcelona to AS Roma in January after breaking into the first team and enjoying some nice playing time at the start of the season while Lionel Messi and others recovered from injury.
Pérez and Ansu Fati were the two young attackers given a chance in the first team by Ernesto Valverde, and though he had more minutes and some pretty good performances by the time the January transfer window arrived, Pérez was sold to Roma in a surprising move, and in an interview with Spanish media the 22-year-old said that he didn’t deserve to leave, and is still trying to understand the reasons for his departure.
