Can Liverpool overtake Man Utd and Chelsea this season?

Liverpool’s 4-3 win against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday moved the Reds up to third in the table, level on points with Manchester United and Chelsea.

United have a game in hand at home to Stoke City to come, but the result sparked talk that Jurgen Klopp’s side can finish above the Red Devils and Chelsea this season.

Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona didn’t immediately look to have affected Liverpool’s attacking strength, although City’s late fightback once again raised questions about their defence.

Liverpool’s next four Premier League fixtures are relatively favourable, with games against Swansea City, Huddersfield Town and Southampton all providing winning opportunites.
