Liverpool have confirmed their defender Glen Johnson and goalkeeper Brad Jones will leave the club on Friday.
The England international’s contract is set to expire on 30 June, while the Australian shot stopper is also a free agent in the summer. The Merseyside club have decided against handing the duo a new contract, which allows them to leave the club on a free transfer.
The duo are joined by academy midfielders Jordan Lussey and Marc Pelosi, who are also released by the 18-times English champions.
“Liverpool FC have confirmed that Glen Johnson and Brad Jones are among the players who will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of this month,” a statement on Liverpool’s official website read.
