BREAKING: USA Defeats Japan 5-2, Wins First Women's World Cup Since 1999

The United States Women's soccer team's run of dominance in the 2015 World Cup ended with an offensive outburst for the ages, with three Carli Lloyd tallies in the first 16 minutes of Sunday's final against Japan pacing the U.S en route to a 5-2 victory in Vancouver, BC.

USA would race out to a 4-0 lead early with a historic barrage of goals that took Japan out of things before the game even really began. Lloyd's third goal, a long prayer from way downfield, was an early capper for a USA squad that now celebrates its first World Cup win since 1999.
