Brazil calls up 35-year-old Ricardo Oliveira

The former Valencia and Real Betis forward leads the Brazilian scoring charts this season and now finds himself part of the Selecao squad in place of Roberto Firmino.

Santos striker Ricardo Oliveira has been called up to the Brazil squad for the World Cup Qualifying matches against Chile and Venezuela, following an injury to Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino.

Oliveira, who had spells with Valencia and Betis, has not played a game for the Brazilian national team since 2007, but is now part of manager Dunga's plans, making a remarkable return to international football.
