Brazil Beat Germany in 2018 Friendly; Gabriel Jesus Scores Match's Lone Goal

Brazil beat Germany 1-0 at Berlin's Olympiastadion in a friendly on Tuesday as the two sides met for the first time since the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Four years ago in Belo Horizonte, Brazil suffered possibly the greatest humiliation in their footballing history as they were beaten 7-1 by the eventual champions to exit their home tournament in pitiful fashion at the semi-final stage.

It will take a long time for Brazilians to expunge that horrible result from their minds, but the Selecao began the process on Tuesday as Gabriel Jesus' first-half strike earned them a narrow win.
