Martin Braithwaite has sent a message of support to Denmark team-mate Christian Eriksen after the midfielder suffered a cardiac arrrest during the team’s Euro 2020 game against Finland on Saturday.
Eriksen received CPR on the pitch after collapsing on 41 minutes. The Denmark players formed a protective shield around the midfielder while he received treatment and he was then taken to hospital.
Denmark have since confirmed Eriksen is in a stable condition and is undergoing further testing. The two teams ended up playing out the match later on Saturday with Finland winning 1-0.
Braithwaite has taken to social media after Saturday’s distressing events and sent his support to Eriksen and his family.
