Blackpool's final Championship game being abandoned after fans invade pitch

Blackpool's Championship finale was abandoned after fans invaded the pitch to protest mid-match against chairman Karl Oyston.

Relegated Blackpool's final Championship game with Huddersfield Town was abandoned after protesting fans invaded the pitch at the start of the second half and refused to leave the field.

The Lancashire club has long been consigned to relegation following a season that has been dominated by the supporters' stormy relationship with chairman Karl Oyston.

And sections of the home crowd used the last match of the campaign as a platform to voice their frustrations at his running of the club, racing onto the Bloomfield Road pitch as the game was poised at 0-0 and settling in the center circle.
