The Bayern Munich goalkeeper has taken to social media to issue a heartfelt apology for his mistake, which handed Real Madrid a semi-final victory
Sven Ulreich has apologised for the error that cost Bayern Munich a place in the Champions League final, as they were defeated 4-3 on aggregate by Real Madrid.
Ulreich made a bizarre mistake in the second half, as he attempted to collect Corentin Tolisso's back pass, only to seemingly realise that he was unable to use his hands. The back-up to No.1 Manuel Neuer subsequently slipped, allowing Karim Benzema to score his second goal on the night.
