Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has offered an update on Joshua Kimmich’s future at the club as he heads towards the end of his current contract.
Kimmich has been regularly linked with a move to Barcelona in recent months, with Hansi Flick’s arrival at the club ensuring this particular rumor is not going anywhere.
Eberl says he wants Kimmich to stay, and become club captain, but knows that contract talks with be stressful.
“We have two big figures in Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller who will leave us at some point in the foreseeable future due to their age.
