Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu reckons the Spanish champions are “big fans” of plans to play La Liga matches in the United States.
The first game to be played in the US could well be Barcelona’s clash with Girona after both teams asked the RFEF for permission to play the game in Miami.
Bartomeu reckons it’s a great idea, as it will help promote Spanish football and increase revenues.
“We are big fans of the idea although it is not our decision,” he said.
“We believe this is the right move to promote La Liga and Spanish football, it will increase our exposure and we believe it is the future.
