Jack Wilshere made his long awaited return to action for Arsenal’s Under 21 side on Friday evening, helping the team to a 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
The midfielder, who was joined by Tomas Rosicky and Serge Gnabry in the starting XI, played 65 minutes in the contest at the Emirates Stadium.
First half goals from Dan Crowley, Stephy Mavididi and Gnabry gave Arsenal a 3-1 lead before half time, with an own goal from Krystian Bielik seeing the visitors get on the scoresheet.
