Barcelona forward Neymar could miss the upcoming El Clasico for sarcastically applauding refereee Gil Manzano after being sent off in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Málaga.
The Brazilian was booked in the first half after preventing the hosts from taking a free kick by tying his shoelaces just feet from where the kick was due to be taken.
Neymar was then given his marching orders for a late challenge on Diego Llorente after 65 minutes that saw him handed his second yellow of the game.
The 25-year-old made his displeasure at the decision clear by sarcastically clapping the match official as he made his way off the pitch, which may well land him in further trouble.
