La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the likelihood of Barcelona signing Lautaro Martinez is becoming more complicated. The two have been dancing back and forth for months now. It’s come back and forth between Inter Milan and Barcelona over what should be included in a deal.
Inter are apparently more convinced now than ever that Barcelona won’t make an offer they view as competitive. Which will lead them past the release clause expiration, and give them a chance to offer Lautaro a more lucrative contract.
Since Barcelona have seen both Mauro Icardi and Timo Werner go for under €60 million, they apparently won’t raise their bid above €70m, making the next few weeks vital if Barcelona really want a shot at Lautaro.
