Barcelona defender Jules Kounde appears to have emerged as a summer transfer target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
The club want to strengthen defensively and think Kounde is an ideal signing who could thrive in the Middle East, according to Marca.
Al-Ittihad’s sporting director is none other than former Barca chief Ramon Planes, and he thinks it might be a good time to try for Kounde due to the club’s financial issues.
Barca president Joan Laporta has insisted this week that a big sale is not needed but you get the feeling any large offers for players will still be read with interest.
