Barcelona’s interest in Jaden Philogene isn’t new, surprising though that may be to culers.
Back in 2021 the youngster had apparently been scouted by the club along with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.
At the time he was playing for Aston Villa’s academy side and despite the overtures from the continent, the Londoner decided to stay with the Villans and sign his first professional contract with them.
That was shown to be a poor decision with the now 22-year-old only managing eight minutes of Premier League action with the club over three seasons.
