Ilkay Gundogan has played down talk of burnout as he prepares to make his 65th appearance of a busy season on Friday for Germany against Spain.
The Germany midfielder is currently on target to match Pedri’s brutal record from the 2020-21 season, prompting speculation Barca are concerned about his workload.
However, Gundogan says he knows how to look after himself even though he did feel fatigued at the end of the domestic season in Spain.
“I always try to give my best in everything I do. It has been a very demanding season, but I am not complaining.
