It’s hard to imagine now, but Fermín López almost did not have his breakthrough season this year with FC Barcelona.
Polish team Raków Czu0119stochowa and the Catalan giants had come to terms over a proposed transfer of the midfielder, according to reports.
The fee was going to be around 600,000 euro, but the deal eventually fell through as changes went through the Polish team.
At the time, Fermín had yet to debut with Barcelona and was plying his trade with Linares Deportivo in the lower divisions of Spanish football.
It’s safe to say Barcelona does not regret holding onto the midfielder, who would become a key member of the squad this season.
