Barcelona won’t risk Dani Olmo against Atalanta as comeback delayed

Barcelona won’t risk Dani Olmo in the midweek Champions League game against Atalanta, with the summer signing more likely to make his return from injury against Alaves.

Olmo has been sidelined again with a calf strain which has seen him ruled him out of the team’s latest matches against Benfica and Valencia.

Barcelona’s next game is against Atalanta on Wednesday, in the final round of Champions League group stage fixtures, but the club will be cautious with Olmo and aren’t planning on using him, acording to AS.

The decision makes a lot of sense given Olmo’s injury record and also because Barcelona have already booked their spot in the last 16 of the competition.
