Barcelona have reportedly given up hope of trying to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City this summer.
Marca and Diario Sport are both reporting that the Portugal international will not be joining the Catalans despite previous speculation suggesting a deal could happen.
The main reason is because Bernardo’s buyout clause of 60 million euros expire at the end of the month and Barca’s finances simply won’t be in order by that date.
If Barcelona were to move for Bernardo later this summer they would have to negotiate a fee with Manchester City who are expected to demand a far higher price.
