Barcelona target Joshua Kimmich ‘increasingly likely’ to leave Bayern Munich

Joshua Kimmich is said to be “increasingly likely” to leave Bayern Munich either this summer or in 2025 on a free transfer.

Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg says both parties “are open” to a move as a contract extension doesn’t seem to be happening.

Bayern are willing to sell this summer, while Kimmich is happy to stay for another year and then walk away on a free transfer.

Both parties will have “concrete talks” after Euro 2024, but the news is likely to be of interest to Europe’s top clubs.

Plettenberg adds that Kimmich is only thinking about “five top clubs” and names Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
