Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out of Poland’s first game of Euro 2024 against the Netherlands due to injury.
The forward was taken off during Poland’s friendly against Turkey with the problem, but his manager said afterwards it was just a “minor injury.”
However, Poland have now confirmed Lewandowski will miss the game against Netherlands and is facing a battle to be fit in time for their second match against Austria.
“Robert Lewandowski suffered a torn biceps femoris muscle, which will exclude him from the first match. We are doing everything so that Robert can play in the second match against Austria,” said team doctorJacek Jaroszewsk.
