The Dutch influence on Barcelona's history of success is undeniable, and the club might be looking into a few players from the Netherlands to have an impact again.
Blaugrana sporting director Robert Fernández traveled to Amsterdam this week to watch the UEFA EURO qualifying match between the Netherlands and Czech Republic. It was a horrible night for the Oranje, who lost 3-2 at home and failed to qualify for the tournament next season. But Fernández wasn't interested in the result. He wanted to watch some kids.
According to reports from Spain, Robert has four very young players in mind, all of them from Ajax: Jairo Riedewald, a left-footed defender who can also play as a left-back, did feature for 40 minutes, and is already believed to be a target for next season.
