FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has followed up the dismissal of Barcelona B manager Francisco Javier García Pimienta with the firing of another long-standing servant of the club, Guillermo Amor, as part of a series of sackings meant to remodel youth football at Barcelona.
A former player for a decade at the Camp Nou, Amor last played for Scottish club Livingston.
He returned in the 2005 as the director of youth football for Barcelona, then was fired in 2007, before returning to the post in 2010. He was let go in 2014, and then he had a stint as the coach of Adelaide United before returning to Barcelona to head up youth development alongside Jose Mari Bakero (a former teammate) in 2017.
