FC Barcelona are mulling over letting Clément Lenglet go on loan to Atlético de Madrid, reportedly because they do not want to strengthen a direct rival.
It’s understood the Frenchman has approved the move, and everyone knows Barça do not want to keep Lenglet in the squad. Simply, he does not fit into Hansi Flick’s plans and he has a very high salary, which limits Barcelona’s ability to register new signings.
Still, there are some within the club who want to look elsewhere for a potential partner in a loan, hopefully a team that is not a direct rival for the league title.
