Barcelona reach agreement with Brazilian club to sign Colombian defender next summer - Report

Barcelona will look to strengthen its defense next season with the likely departure of Jérémy Mathieu, and they're set to sign a true monster from Brazil.

The Catalan giants have reached an agreement with Brazilian club Palmeiras to sign Colombia international center-back Yerry Mina next summer, sources told Barca Blaugranes. The 22-year-old is the undisputed best defender in the Brazilian league, and hopes to help current leaders Palmeiras to win the Brasileirão.

Barça's interest in Mina is nothing new. The Catalans have been scouting and watching the player since his days at Independiente Santa Fé in Colombia, and tried to sign Yerry to Barça B in January.
