Barcelona are reportedly planning on offering goalkeeper Inaki Pena a new contract in a bid to secure his future at the club.
Pena is currently Barca’s first choice goalkeeper, due to Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury, although the Catalans have brought in Wojciech Szczu0119sny as competition.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barca plan to open contract talks in the coming months and are hoping Pena will stay on.
The stopper’s current deal only runs until 2026, meaning he will enter the final 12 months of his contract next summer.
Barca aren’t yet completely sure when Ter Stegen will be ready to return to first-team action, but there is a chance he may not be ready until next season.
