Barcelona are making a strong push to sign VfB Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard, according to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website. The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to Napoli since last summer. But now Barcelona have reportedly met with the lawyers and agents of the 22-year-old defender to plan a transfer this summer. Bayern Munich are also said to be interested.
Pavard has been deployed as a centerback in Stuttgart’s three-man line this season. However, he played as a right-back for France in their World Cup triumph, with Real Madrid’s Raphaël Varane and Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti playing the centerback roles.
