Barcelona make big decision on replacement for Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Barcelona have reportedly decided to try and sign a goalkeeper now rather than wait until the January transfer window reopens.

The Catalans want to bring in another stopper after losing Marc-Andre ter Stegen to a serious knee injury against Villarreal.

Manager Hansi Flick told a press conference on Tuesday that Barca will discuss bringing in a replacement and the rumor mill thinks a decision has now been made.

COPE’s Helena Condis says the club will bring in a free agent and have already started contacted possible candidates.

The plan is for the new arrival to work as back-up to Inaki Pena, who will remain as first choice for the time being.
